FUNFACT

Bananas reached much of the United States through Southern ports such as Mobile, New Orleans, and Savannah, helping the fruit become especially popular across the South. Banana pudding gained even more attention in the 1940s when Nabisco began printing a simple banana pudding recipe on boxes of its Nilla Wafers.

INSPIRATION

Mancy’s Banana Pudding was inspired by the banana pudding my sister Leah used to make for our brother Mancy. After he passed away in 2005, this flavor became a special way to honor his memory and preserve a treasured piece of our family history.
